Upper Elementary Reading/Math Interventionist
My name is Kay Johnson Good-Shield, I am the Reading/Math Interventionist in the Upper Elementary. I have 21 years of teaching experience in the area of Special Education. I taught at Wakpala School for 14 years as the Middle School/High School teacher and 6 years at the Little Eagle Grant School, which is a K-8 school. I have lived in the area all my life as I grew up on a farm/ranch south of Little Eagle, near the Grand River. I attended and graduated from McLaughlin High School . After graduating high school I attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell and received a BS Degree in Social Work with a minor in Criminal Justice. Several years later, I returned to Sitting Bull College to receive a degree in K-8 Elementary Education and K-12 Special Education.
