Hi there! I am Ms. Friesz, and I teach 5th grade reading, social studies, and science. I am currently in my 12th year of teaching and 4th year at Mobridge-Pollock.

I was raised in Mobridge and graduated from Mobridge High School in 2008. Then, I attended Northern State University where I obtained a B.S. ED Social Science, M.S. ED Teaching & Learning, and M.S. ED Leadership & Administration. For the first 8 years of my professional career, I worked on the Standing Rock Reservation where I was a teacher and administrator. Now, I have returned to my roots, and it sure is good to be back!

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog Laredo. During the summer months, I spend a majority of my time outside, whether that be fishing at the river, swimming at the pool with my nephew, playing yard games, attending concerts/festivals, or working in my flower beds. In the winter months, I enjoy looking at the beautiful, frosty landscape but prefer to stay indoors where I can drink hot chocolate and read.
